There are two kinds of knitters:
1. Buys yarn first and then looks for a pattern
2. Finds a pattern first and then looks for yarn
3. Buys one skein of GORGEOUS yarn with no intention of ever using it because it’s TOO PRETTY so it sits in your stash for years and every so often you take it out to squish it and admire it and smell it and then put it back.
I have two moods
The intimate connection with clothes you make yourself is truly something.
Like “There are three twisted stitches on the shoulder of this sweater”
Or “I accidentally picked up an extra stitch on the gusset of the left sock”
No one else notices, but you know. You know.
Summer Court Tank
Its FO Friday! 🙌 I finished my “Summer Court Tank” by Dragon Hoard Designs (available on Ravelry) and I have a feeling I’ll be wearing it every day this summer. 🕶 This design is very versatile and can easily be dressed up or down. The beaded lace detail along the hem is my favorite aspect of this design and was very fun to knit.
I knit this design in size 4 (45") and it has about 4-5" of positive ease on me, which makes this a lovely flowy and drapey top perfect for warm days.
Yarn info: I used 2 skeins of my hand-dyed yarn in the ‘Gillywater’ colorway on our Merino Fingering base. This colorway always reminds me of Adriata, a seaside city in the Summer Court from the A Court of Thorns and Roses book series, so I thought it was a good fit for this design. 😊 PS- I highly recommend this book series if you are into fantasy, adventure and a little romance 😉
I finished my Hibernation House Socks from Larkspurknits and I love them! I am a huge fan of cozy handknit socks, and the folded mohair cuff really takes these to the next level. 🧦 My husband has already requested his own pair and has picked out the colorway he wants. 🥰😍
🧶 I knit these socks using our Merino Fingering base (100% superwash merino wool, 2-ply) in my hand dyed ‘Barn Owl’ colorway. The mohair is Knit Picks Aloft in the Oat colorway. 🧶
